BINARY-SANS
Hand and Digitally Drawn Typeface
2023
Designed on the principles of binary code.
Binary-Sans is designed with the knowledge of binary code in computing. While we type away our letters or messages, our computer is visualizing those letters through 0’s, and 1’s behind out screens. Each letter and character has a unique code-series of eight 1’s, and 0’s which determine our 202 characters.
Binary-Sans takes inspiration from checkbooks which have unique codes written in Westminster. Westminster is the first digitally created font using the idea of binary code to bit-map heavy and light strokes for its letters.
Binary-Sans is its grandchild.
